A post at ParentHacks today reminds me of how I get my kids to help me with weeding. I always tell people, "It’s easy to keep weeds out of your garden if you have kids." I show my kids how to pull weeds right out of the ground, and then we have contests and races to see who can pull the most weeds. Oddly enough, it’s my youngest son that is the best weed-puller around.

Of course, I’m the strange person that likes to have dandelions in her lawn because I get dandelion bouquets from grubby little hands. My neighbors must totally hate me, but I love them. There’s always time for a dandelion-free lawn when I’m not getting those bouquets anymore.
