We just finished with retaining walls for our backyard landscaping and are trying to decide what type of patio to install. These gorgeous outdoor, concrete, tiles may be just what I’m looking for.

Designed by two grad students, from The Design Academy, Susanne Happle and Frederik Molenschot, "Solid Poetry" was their graduation project.

According to the Style Files,

"These concrete tiles reveal a flower pattern when they get in contact
with water. This is so clever, to make use of the natural elements.
Especially in a country like The Netherlands where it can rain a lot!"

I’m sure this innovative idea will lead the way for all kinds of patterns and different colored cements as this trend takes off. Imagine what this would do to the patio around a swimming pool. Beautiful!
