    Gardening for Mind and Body

    If you are a gardener you are already participating in one
    of the best mind-body exercises there is. The time you spend in your garden doing
    the chores that help it grow can provide you with a regular workout that will
    help keep you fit. 

    Weeding, deadheading, turning soil, moving plants all keeps
    you active and it can create a scenic and serene spot where you can rest after
    a day’s work.

    Gardening also allows your mind to rest as you contemplate the beauty of a
    flower or has you pull that weed with a quiet determination.

    There are the other benefits as well, food and flowers for your home and table.
    The hours spent sitting in the sun or shade and simply watching the bees buzz
    and the butterflies flutter can rest and refresh both mind and body.
