Tips From The Old Farmer’s Almanac

    Compost

Someone mentioned The Old Farmer’s Almanac to me this morning in an email, so I toddled over to the site this morning. My dad lives and dies by the Old Farmer’s Almanac, so I was somewhat familiar with it, but I didn’t know it would have so many awesome gardening tips!

Here’s one that makes total sense, but I never thought about before:

Compost should be watered during dry periods so that it remains active.

No wonder my compost looks so terrible! Anyway, I may be the last gardener ever to not go to the Old Farmer’s Almanac website yet, but if you haven’t been there, check it out. There’s lots of good stuff there.
