I used to have a bay leaf tree growing in my living room. It reached a height of 4 feet and then I would trim it and in a  few months it regained its height.

The plant provided us with a steady supply of bay leaves for tomato sauce and stews, for example.
I grew it from seed and plan to do so again, one day.
